My favourite heroes of Fairy tail!!!

 

In Storytime, when we share favourite fairy tales, we try to deliver them in a way that will satisfy our reader expectations.

 By that, I mean that we stick with the versions that are known and loved. 

We’ve spoken to our pupils about this and we know that they feel reassured and comforted by stories that are safe and familiar. 

There’s a lot to be said for the warmth and constancy a classic fairy tale can give – especially for young children who are encountering fairy tales for the first time. Everyone lives happily ever after!!!

The pupils of 5th class decided to present their favourite fairy tale heroes . It is so amazing and very cute to seeing how the express their passion for the world of fairies

Greek mythology

Myth has two functions. The first is to answer the sort of awkward questions that children ask, such as ‘Who made the world? How will it end? The second function of myth is to justify an existing social system and account for traditional rites and customs.

 In ancient Greece, stories about gods and goddesses and heroes and monsters were an important part of everyday life. They explained everything from religious rituals to the weather, and they gave meaning to the world people saw around them.

Today we decided to describe this part of Greek culture in our way. 

Maybe is not perfect but it is made with a big admiration and passion by my pupils and I adored it. 

World health day!!

 

World Health Day is celebrated every year to raise awareness about the ongoing health issues that concern people across the world. The day is also used as an opportunity to spread awareness about the overall health and well-being of people. Today is  World Health Day (WHD) celebrated every year to mark the anniversary of the founding of World Health Organization (WHO) in 1948.

Each year, a theme is selected to highlight a priority area of public health concern in the world. The first World Health Day was celebrated and observed in 1950, after 7 April was set aside as a designated date to celebrate the creation of the World Health Organization in 1948 in the First Health Assembly. The theme for this year’s World Health Day is “Our Planet, Our Health”.

Today we made an mini project in honor of this day!

It is very important for me personally seeing my students making efforts to transmit their message:

"Our planet, our Health"!

I hope their message will be their first step to a better future!

ΣΥΝΑΙΣΘΗΜΑΤΑ

 Γνωρίζουμε όλοι μας το δείκτη νοημοσύνης, γνωστό και ως IQ. Πέραν του IQ όμως υπάρχει και ο δείκτης συναισθηματικής νοημοσύνης, γνωστός και ως EQ. Η συναισθηματική νοημοσύνη είναι ουσιαστικά η ικανότητα ενός ατόμου να εκφράζει, να αναγνωρίζει, και κατανοεί, να ελέγχει και να ρυθμίζει τα συναισθήματά του και τα συναισθήματα των άλλων.

Καίριες συναισθηματικές ικανότητες μπορούν πράγματι να διδαχθούν και να βελτιωθούν στα παιδιά. Τα σχολεία συνεχίζουν να εστιάζουν την προσοχή στις ακαδημαϊκές δεξιότητες, αγνοώντας τη συναισθηματική νοημοσύνη. Η συναισθηματική σφαίρα είναι ένα πεδίο το οποίο, όσο και τα μαθηματικά ή η ανάγνωση, μπορεί να χειριστεί κανείς με μεγαλύτερη ή μικρότερη επιδεξιότητα, και απαιτεί το δικό της μοναδικό σύνολο ικανοτήτων. Το συναισθηματικό ταλέντο είναι μια μετα-ικανότητα που καθορίζει πόσο καλά μπορούμε να χειριστούμε οποιαδήποτε ικανότητα διαθέτουμε.

Στο νηπιαγωγείο μας, διενεργήθηκε ένα  πρόγραμμα που περιελάμβανε δραστηριότητες για την αναγνώριση και διαχείριση των βασικών συναισθημάτων (χαρά, λύπη, θυμός, φόβος), δραστηριότητες για την ανάπτυξη των δεξιοτήτων της φιλίας, διαχείρισης συγκρούσεων, παρεμπόδισης ψυχολογικής και φυσικής βίας καθώς και δράσεις για ενίσχυση της αυτοεικόνας και της αυτο-εκτίμησης. 

Εμείς οι δάσκαλοι αλλά κυρίως οι γονείς, σαν οδηγοί και μέντορές τους, πρέπει να τους δείξουμε τον δρόμο έτσι ώστε να πορευτούν μέσα  στον δύσκολο κόσμο των συναισθημάτων.

Μιλώντας για το φόβο μας μάθαμε να το διαχειριζόμαστε.....

Ο θυμός δε χωράει πουθενά....

Γράφουμε και διαβάζουμε....

The Earth is in danger!

 Every day, it seems, we read or hear about the environmental problems facing the planet. Scientific reports, predicting disaster if human society continues the way it is going, get more and more regular. But it’s not just scientists now: people across the entire planet are no longer leaving it to “the experts”.

These changes to the climate have the power to transform our world, affecting food and water supplies and our health. The bigger the problems, the more difficult and expensive it will be to solve them – which is why taking early action to deal with climate change is the best option.

It is the time to stop this "fight" with our planet

For this reason the students of 2nd junior high school made a video. They want to give their message. 

They want to stop this violence against the planet! 

«Νόμισμα και Συναλλαγές. Από το χθες στο σήμερα»

Τις τελευταίες εβδομάδες το σχολείο μας είχε την χαρά και την τιμή να συμμετάσχει στο εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα της Alpha Bank «Νόμισμα και Συναλλαγές. Από το χθες στο σήμερα». Οι μαθήτριες και οι μαθητές των τάξεων του Γυμνασίου είχαν την ευκαιρία να δουν από κοντά διάφορα νομίσματα, όπως:

Κύριος εκπαιδευτικός σκοπός του Προγράμματος είναι να γνωρίσουν οι μαθητές την ιστορία του νομίσματος, την εξέλιξη και τα μέσα συναλλαγών στον ελλαδικό χώρο, από την αρχαιότητα έως σήμερα. Τα παιδιά κατανοούν την ιστορική εξέλιξη των συναλλαγών και τη σύνδεσή τους με τις κοινωνικές ανάγκες, ενώ παράλληλα βλέπουν διάφορα ιστορικά πρόσωπα τα οποία εικονίζονται στα νομίσματα και μαθαίνουν για το έργο τους.
